The Soft Machine sprung from the adventurous music scene in the English city of Canterbury. The British pioneers experimented freely and obtained an almost legendary status. Forty years later classical Soft Machine pieces like Facelift, Noisette and Kings & Queens have been arranged for the London Delta Saxophone Quartet. This does not result in a dusty set of covers, but in a contemporary interpretation of strong originals. Special guest is veteran bassist Hugh Hopper, almost- founding-father of the Soft Machine.
