The SummerJazzCycleTour opens and closes with a battle in the tent near the windmill in Garnwerd. We start off with a fanfare battle: De Eendracht(192 years old, from Feerwerd), conducted by Bert van der Haar versus De Jazzfanfare(10 years old, from Groningen), conducted by Harrie van Lier . In the evening the Battle of the 78s in the Garnwerd tent will feature Swingmaster Sem and Yeah Man crossing daggers with 78 RPM records. With the audience as a dancing third partner.
