Wilbert de Joode is a regular guest at the SummerJazzCycleTour (having performed with Wolter Wierbos, Paul Rogers/Fred van Hove, Braam/DeJoode/Vatcher, the Ab BaarsTrio and the Henneman String Quartet). This year he has been given carte blanche to come up with a duo partner in Feerwerd. He didn't hesitate to name cellist Okkyung Lee - 'I haven't played with her yet'. When the Korean cellist moved to New York some ten years ago she developed her own sound in the downtown avant-garde scene.
