She has the attitude of a jazz diva and the temperament of a rock star, but always puts this in perspective with a healthy dose of humour. Swiss vocalist Erika Stucky grew up in San Francisco, where she took acting classes. In Paris she was trained as a jazz vocalist. Nowadays this unique performer lives in a Swiss mountain village. Her idiosyncratic covers of pop tunes (Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Queen) and her own songs, often with brass accompaniment, all have a form of their own. The Huizinga family barn is a good place to enjoy Erika Stucky solo.
